Republican Chaos Is a Threat to Everyone
Republican infighting has paralyzed the House, which is unable to authorize aid for Israel and Ukraine without first electing a Speaker.
We are in a worldwide crisis and Republicans are failing to act. Hamas terrorists murdered over 1,000 Jews in the deadliest attack since the Holocaust. Ukraine is fighting for survival against Russian invaders in the largest European land war since WWII. And the US government will shut down in 37 days without passing a budget. All of this is on hold because House Republicans are unable to elect a Speaker and a single GOP Senator is undermining military readiness by blocking more than 300 promotions.
A Cornered Rat
As Trump's legal problems are closing in on him, he has escalated his violent threats against court officers, reporters, and his political opponents.
Winston Churchill warned of desperate men, saying, "Even a cornered rat is dangerous." Recent court rulings have exposed Trump as a liar and fraud. In response, Trump has lashed out with increasingly violent threats, including calling for the execution of General Milley. Trump's claims of persecution have resulted in death threats against judges, criminal prosecutors and the FBI. Trump's former chief of staff, John Kelly recently warned that Trump is "A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law."
The Republican Civil War
Kevin McCarthy is removed as House speaker by MAGA extremists who are determined to follow Trump's orders to shut down the government.
This is the first time in US history that the speaker of the House has been removed from office. McCarthy angered members of both parties, who accused the speaker of being untrustworthy. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called out House Republicans for embracing “chaos, dysfunction and extremism,” and said that it is the "the responsibility of the GOP members to end the House Republican Civil War."
An Unmitigated Disaster About Nothing
House Republicans hold a Bidden impeachment hearing without evidence as they force a government shutdown without reason.
With less than 2 days left to avoid a government shutdown, Republicans held a house hearing to impeach Bidden that failed to produce any evidence and was called an "unmitigated disaster," by GOP insiders. This failed to appease Trump's most loyal supporters in the house who are demanding unpopular budget cuts or they will force a government shutdown that a right-wing think tank called "the first-ever shutdown about nothing”
Wholly Without Basis in Law or Fact
A New York Judge rules that Trump repeatedly committed fraud and is liable for defrauding banks and insurers for inflating his net worth by billions to secure fraudulent business loans.
Trump can lie to his supporters, but there are real world consequences for lying to the courts and committing financial fraud. Justice Arthur Engoron has ruled that Trump, two of his children and two company executives are liable for submitting fraudulent business statements and has ordered the cancellation of Trump's business certificates. The judge has also sanctioned Trump and his attorneys for repeating "frivolous arguments," and sworn depositions that are "wholly without basis in law or fact.”
He'll Start Throwing People in Jail
General Mark Milley, serving as the nation's highest-ranking military officer, feared Trump's "Hitler-like embrace of the Big Lie," would lead to violence.
Serving as Trump's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs presented "unique challenges" for General Mark Milley who said that Trump was “shameful” and “complicit” in the January 6 Attack on the Capitol. Milley's low opinion of Donald Trump is shared by many former military officials who served in Trump's White House. General John Kelly called Trump the "most flawed person" he's ever met and General James Mattis said Trump is "more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine." Milley has told friends that if Trump is re-elected president, “he’ll start throwing people in jail.”
Trump's To-Do List
Trump's cavalier mishandling of our nation's most sensitive secrets was further revealed by a longtime assistant who told federal investigators that Trump frequently used classified documents to write to-do lists.
It is disturbing that Trump used White House documents clearly marked classified to write to-do lists. What is more disturbing is imagining what is on Trump's to-do list:
1. Threaten retribution against judges, prosecutors and my political enemies.
2. Post racist, sexist, and anti-semitic messages to my fake social media platform.
3. Destroy American Democracy.
Move The F**king Motion
Kevin McCarthy loses his cool as right wing extremists of his own Party challenge his leadership with threats to remove McCarthy as Speaker.
Kevin McCarthy is between a rock and hard place. Matt Gaetz and MAGA extremists are are demanding a government shutdown to force unpopular budget cuts, while swing district Republicans fear that path is political suicide. In a closed-door meeting, a frustrated McCarthy dared the members of his own caucus to follow through on their threats saying, “If you think you scare me because you want to file a motion to vacate, move the fucking motion!”
Red Meat for the Extreme Rightwing
To save his job, Speaker McCarthy caves to the rightwing extremists and orders an impeachment inquiry into Bidden without holding a House vote.
To distract voters from Trump’s multiple legal problems, House Republicans are launching an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. A White House spokesperson said, “McCarthy is being told by Marjorie Taylor Greene to do impeachment, or else she’ll shut down the government. Opening impeachment despite zero evidence of wrongdoing by POTUS is simply red meat for the extreme rightwing so they can keep baselessly attacking him.”
21 Unindicted Co-Conspirators
The Georgia special grand jury recommended charging Senator Lindsey Graham and other top Republicans Trump allies.
Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis has had a busy 24-hours. First, she asked a judge to protect future Trump jurors from intimidation. Then, she publicly dismantled House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan's request for more information on the case, calling it "unjustified and illegal intrusion into an open state criminal prosecution." And finally, the released Fulton County special grand jury report recommended criminal charges against 21 additional Trump unindicted co-conspirators including GOP Senators Lindsey Graham, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, Trump's national security advisor Michael Flynn, and the current Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones.
Completely Without Merit
Courts are rejecting Trump and his co-conspirators efforts to use unsound legal theories and delay tactics to prevent legal accountability.
Trump’s coup attorney Kenneth Chesebro was blocked from having his case severed from co-defendant in the Georgia racketeering criminal case. Then, Trump lost a summary judgement when the judge ruled that Trump is liable for continuing to deny that he sexually assaulted e. Jean Caroll. And, a third judge rejected Trump’s efforts to delay the October 2nd business fraud trial saying Trump’s arguments are “completely without merit.”
The Cost of Sedition
Enrique Tarrio and the leaders of the white supremacist group the Proud Boys were given lengthily prison sentences for seditious conspiracy and other crimes related to the January 6 Attack on the Capitol.
During the September 29, 2020 presidential debate, Donald Trump refused to condemn white supremacist groups and instead told the Proud Boys to "Stand back and stand by." 104 days later, the Proud Boys lead the attack on on the U.S. Capitol after Trump told his supporters to come to the "Big protests in D.C. on January 6th," promising it "will be wild!" FBI Director Christopher said, “Today’s sentencing demonstrates that those who attempted to undermine the workings of American democracy will be held criminally accountable.”
Trump's Political Theater
All eyes will be on Georgia as Judge rules that the Trump's racketeering and election interference criminal trial will be streamed live.
Donald Trump's attacks against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis are dividing the Georgia Republican Party leadership. Trump's MAGA supporters are threatening political violence unless the DA is impeached for bringing 13 criminal charges against Trump. Meanwhile, Gov. Brian Kemp slammed his fellow Republicans for wanting to remove Willis as “political theater that only inflames the emotions of the moment.”
Rudy Giuliani Exposed as a Racist Liar
A federal judge has ruled that Rudy Giuliani is legally liable for spreading racist lies about two black election workers who became the target of conspiracy theories and death threats.
Sometimes, bad things happen to bad people. For the last 30 years, Rudy Giuliani has been accused of pedaling racist election lies and conspiracy theories. In 2020, Giuliani was a leading architect and front man for Trump's Big Lie and is facing criminal indictments for trying to overturn the election. Now, a federal judge has ruled that Giuliani must pay damages for baselessly accusing two black election workers of "passing around USB ports as if they are vials of heroin or cocaine."

Inmate P01135809 Vows to "Never Surrender"
Trump and his 18 co-defendants have all surrendered at the Fulton County Jail and booked on 41 felony counts including racketeering and election fraud.
Donald Trump (AKA Inmate P01135809) continues to market his four criminal indictments to raise money for his political campaign with lies about election fraud, deep state conspiracy theories, and even his self-reported height and weight on his booking form. Within hours of surrendering to authorities, Trump ironically started selling "Never Surrender," merchandise featuring his Fulton County Jail mugshot.
It's Trump's Party, and He'll Lie if He Wants To
With a 40 point lead, Donald Trump sat out the GOP Presidential Debate to repeat election lies and grievances in a taped interview with Tucker Carlson.
After 2 hours of debate, the 8 GOP Presidential candidates failed to offer any alternative to Trump's dark vision for America. The GOP candidates took turns angrily blaming Democrats, people of color, the queer community, and even teachers without offering any policy solutions except banning abortion and cutting taxes.
We Want to Kill You
Donald Trump's use of a word - that rhymes with the n-word - to attack black prosecutors is trending on social media with dangerous results.
Trump is using disgusting racial slurs and threats of violence to intimidate judges, prosecutors, and even potential jurors in his four criminal cases. Right wing websites that have repeated Trump's racist slurs have exploded with threats of violence. The FBI arrested a Texas woman who threatened to murder the judge overseeing Trump's federal Jan. 6 indictment calling her a "slave," and threatening, “you are in our sights, we want to kill you.”
The State of Georgia V. Donald John Trump
“Trump and the other Defendants charged in this Indictment refused to accept that Trump lost, and they knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.”
Defendants Donald John Trump, 18 indicted co-defendants, and others, “constituted a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in various related criminal activities including, but not limited to, false statements and writings, impersonating a public officer, forgery, filing false documents, influencing witnesses, computer theft, computer trespass, computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud the state, act involving theft, and perjury.”
"An Out of Touch Lunatic"
With special counsel Jack Smith proposing that one of his three trials occur during the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Insurrection, Trump is acting like an animal trapped in a cage.
The former president's latest Truth Social post reeks of manic desperation saying, “Only an out of touch lunatic would ask for such a date, ONE DAY into the New Year, and maximum Election Interference with IOWA! Such a trial, which should never take place due to my First Amendment Rights, and massive BIDEN CORRUPTION, should only happen, if at all, AFTER THE ELECTION...” Coupled with Smith finally getting his hands on Trump's twitter data, it seems like the special counsel has clearly struck a nerve.
