Colorado Disqualifies Trump for Insurrection

The Colorado Supreme Court determined that the “undisputed” evidence “established that President Trump engaged in insurrection,” and therefore “is disqualified from holding the office of the President.”

Ignore the GOP spin and read the Colorado Supreme Court decision: "We concluded that the foregoing evidence, the great bulk of which was undisputed at trial, established that President Trump engaged in insurrection." As result the Court ruled that, "Trump is disqualified from holding the office of Present under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States. Because he is disqualified, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Colorado Secretary of State to list him as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot.”

The Kraken Flips on Trump

Trump's Coup attorney Sidney Powell, who once vowed to "Release the Kraken", pleads guilty to six charges and agrees to testify against Trump and his co-defendants in the Georgia RICO and election fraud trial.

With Rudy Guiliani and Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell was part of “Team Crazy” that promoted unproven election conspiracy theories. At the infamous December 18, 2020 White House meeting, Team Crazy pushed Trump to sign an executive order authorizing the military to seize voting machines and appoint Powell as special counsel. At that meeting, Trump verbally agreed to appoint Powell saying, “I’m naming her that and I’m giving her security clearance.” One hour later Trump tweeted “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild.”

He'll Start Throwing People in Jail

General Mark Milley, serving as the nation's highest-ranking military officer, feared Trump's "Hitler-like embrace of the Big Lie," would lead to violence.

Serving as Trump's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs presented "unique challenges" for General Mark Milley who said that Trump was “shameful” and “complicit” in the January 6 Attack on the Capitol. Milley's low opinion of Donald Trump is shared by many former military officials who served in Trump's White House. General John Kelly called Trump the "most flawed person" he's ever met and General James Mattis said Trump is "more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine." Milley has told friends that if Trump is re-elected president, “he’ll start throwing people in jail.”

The Georgia special grand jury recommended charging Senator Lindsey Graham and other top Republicans Trump allies.

Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis has had a busy 24-hours. First, she asked a judge to protect future Trump jurors from intimidation. Then, she publicly dismantled House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan's request for more information on the case, calling it "unjustified and illegal intrusion into an open state criminal prosecution." And finally, the released Fulton County special grand jury report recommended criminal charges against 21 additional Trump unindicted co-conspirators including GOP Senators Lindsey Graham, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, Trump's national security advisor Michael Flynn, and the current Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones.

Enrique Tarrio and the leaders of the white supremacist group the Proud Boys were given lengthily prison sentences for seditious conspiracy and other crimes related to the January 6 Attack on the Capitol.

During the September 29, 2020 presidential debate, Donald Trump refused to condemn white supremacist groups and instead told the Proud Boys to "Stand back and stand by." 104 days later, the Proud Boys lead the attack on on the U.S. Capitol after Trump told his supporters to come to the "Big protests in D.C. on January 6th," promising it "will be wild!" With special counsel Jack Smith proposing that one of his three trials occur during the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Insurrection, Trump is acting like an animal trapped in a cage.

The former president's latest Truth Social post reeks of manic desperation saying, “Only an out of touch lunatic would ask for such a date, ONE DAY into the New Year, and maximum Election Interference with IOWA! Such a trial, which should never take place due to my First Amendment Rights, and massive BIDEN CORRUPTION, should only happen, if at all, AFTER THE ELECTION...” Coupled with Smith finally getting his hands on Trump's twitter data, it seems like the special counsel has clearly struck a nerve.

Trump's lawyers are in a bind. The only defense they're leaning on is the right to freedom of speech.

In a desperate grasp for any kind of defense of his seditious activity, Trump's team has sunk to using the most non-sensical argument yet. The special counsel has added new charges on one of Trump's four ongoing investigations. The 37 criminal counts on the Classified Documents Case will now be 40.

When a third separate indictment about Trump's plot to overturn the 2020 election was expected, special counsel Jack Smith, instead, doubled down on a previous indictment. New evidence has been found that shows intentional acts on Trump's part to obstruct the recovery of the stolen classified documents he stashed in Mar-a-Lago. Specifically, IT and maintenance crew employees were forced to delete 45 days of security footage.

Third Indictment Looming

Donald Trump's lawyers met with special counsel Jack Smith after receiving a letter last week notifying Trump that he was the target of an investigation on the plan to overturn the 2020 election.

Although no indictments were charged on Thursday, this will be the third separate case charging Trump when indictments are returned. All signs are pointing to a bad outcome for the former president. From Rudy Guiliani, Trump's former lawyer, admitting to lying about election fraud in Georgia; to Mark Meadows, Trump's former chief of staff, cooperating with the federal Jan. 6 investigation.
