The American People are Angry

Despite Trump's hateful bigotry and White Christian nationalism, Americans voted for Trump's anti-establishment message over a Democratic Party that has embraced the status quo over the needs of working people.

Senator Bernie Sanders has been warning for years that the "the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party" have failed to "understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing." Sanders blamed Democratic leaders for "defending the status quo" and failing to recognize that "the American people are angry and want change."
