Even after winning the electoral college, Trump is unable to acknowledge that he lost the popular vote by 2.9 million voters. With no evidence, Trump uses racist lies and conspiracy theories to claim voter fraud, tweeting: “I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.” These lies are echoed by rightwing media and Trump allies.
