Retired Military Repeat Trump's Election Lies
Over 100 Former U.S. Military leaders, including convicted Iran-Contra Affair felon Vice Adm. John Poindexter, signed an open letter repeating Trump's Big Lie and right-wing conspiracy theories about Biden and Democratic. It is a disturbing sign of Trumpism and white supremacy in our military.
Current military and civil leaders have been raising the alarm that the radicalization of the U.S. military is a threat to our national security and American democracy. Other notable signatories include New Hampshire U.S. Senate candidate Don Bolduc and retired Army Lt. Gen. William Boykin known for his anti-Muslim views and the current executive vice president of the rightwing Family Research Council.

The letter, released Monday by a group calling itself “Flag Officers 4 America,” reads like a screed ripped from former President Donald Trump’s now-defunct Twitter account, replete with erratic punctuation, far-right talking points and outright lies about the 2020 election. The letter raised alarm among many current and former military members.
