Trump pressured Vice President Pence to aid his criminal conspiracy to overturn the election.
The January 6 Committee revealed how Trump KNEW his plan to overturn the election was illegal and still tried to pressure Mike Pence to violate the law. When the Vice President refused, Trump sent an angry mob to "Hang Mike Pence" and disrupt the electoral vote count. Retired Judge J. Michael Luttig testified at the hearing that Trump and his supporters "are a clear and present danger" and that American democracy is on “a knife’s edge.”

Donald Trump’s plot to overturn the election was not a whisper, but a roar. In fact, close aides like John Eastman were conscious of the illegality of their plan and said “I’ve decided that I should be on the pardon list, if that is still in the works.”
J. Michael Luttig, a former federal judge, was given an opportunity to deliver a final statement on June 16 as the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack presented its findings to the public.
